Post Your Catch

Hey Mr. Bill, My name is Krissy Juneau from Central Louisiana. I am a proud mother of 4 beautiful kids! I have 3 boys; Julian 9; Jayce 7; Jonah 5; and little girl Jon-Riley 3! They all love to fish, but Im writing about my 7 year old Jayce! He has been living and breathing fishing since he's old enough to pick up a rod and reel!! At first we just thought he loved the outdoors like every other kid his age, but when he got about 5 or so, we quickly learned different. He wouldn't care what the weather conditions were, or if it wasn't a great season to fish, etc., He just wanted to learn everything there is to learn about it. He would practice casting and reeling for hours. Yes, he would catch alot, but his biggest catch is an 8.4 pound largemouth, (I sent you a pic!) He got so excited! He insisted to reeling it in himself though, but he did need his papa's help to use the net to pick it up out of the water. You see, when you ask some kids what they want to be when they grow up some say a doctor, others say a cop, not Jayce!! He has always said, he wants to be a pro fisherman, and he's sticking to it!! When some adults in our neighborhood hear about Jayce they laugh and say

You see, when you ask some kids what they want to be when they grow up some say a doctor, others say a cop, not Jayce!! He has always said, he wants to be a pro fisherman, and he's sticking to it!! When some adults in our neighborhood hear about Jayce they laugh and say "Yea Right". But when they would see him for a few minutes their story would soon change! They are amazed with him! His favorite rod and reel is his open face. (He's the only 7 year old I know that has mastered the open face!) Then he scans the water and his surroundings to help him decide which bait to use, His loves them all his three favorites are a worm(stickbait) spinner bait and top water, But he does use all the others too! He strings up his own tackle and takes off his own fish. He says, "Mom, as long as I have my pliers and nail clippers in my pocket, I'm good to go!" (Thats his secret tools to take the fish off the hook). He doesnt follow what everyone else is using, he uses his own intuition, and darn it he's always right. You probably wondering why Im writing this to you, but Jayce would love some Bass posters or cool new baits to try out and stuff. Jayce is truly a child fishing prodigy and he says that if there are any pro fisherman out there that want to put him to the test, Bring It On!!,
