New Cabelas
« on: January 28, 2017, 12:10:14 PM »
Our new Cabelas finally will open in their own building on March 9. For those in Northern Virginia it is in Gaineville off Rt 29. Only 21 miles from me instead of 64 to BPS.  I read in the Wall Street Journal a while ago where the Feds had put the brakes on the purchase by BPS, but do not know where it stands now.  Can't wait to see what they have to offer even it is still probably six weeks before I can hit the river without freezing.  With all my reels cleaned and respooled I am driving my wife crazy waiting for the day.

Initial report from a local angler is that the fishing department is pathetic. I haven't been there yet.  Bummer.

I've been to a lot of Cabela's and Bass Pro shops.  Cabela's caters more to the general outdoorsman and hunter than the fisherman.
