Post Your CatchSubmitted: March 29th, 2009 by Ryan Rowe 20lbs 3oz carp chesapeake, va, neighborhood lake ok this one was a weird catch... i was using a Rapala Rat-L-Trap Bleeding Shad 1/2oz and i had stopped reelin for a few seconds maybe 3 to 5 seconds to talk to some friends behind me... when i started to reel again i felt this huge tug on the line and when i set the hook, thinkin it was a largemouth due to the shear power in the tug, my reel started screamin b/c the drag was only set to about 10 to 15lbs drag for i have never caught anything big enough to make my baitcaster scream. but luckly i put my thumb on the spool to stop it and i was able to land this big guy. you can probably see the lure in it mouth in the picture.this is the largest fish i have ever seen pulled out of this lake and i have live here for 9 yrs. good thing im the one who pulled him out Please comment on the above photo.
