7 Cats That Weighed Close to 150 Pounds…Posted: November 26th, 2008 by Bill Dance
In our last blog, I told you I was going on a catfish trip to the Mississippi River with Mark Zona, host of ESPN’s popular series ” World’s Greatest Fishing Show.” Sorry for the delay but we’ve been as busy as a raccoon in a garbage can trying to get both our new saltwater shows and new Bill Dance Outdoors ready for airing starting in January. Well as it goes, the Italian donkey journeyed south and teamed up with me and my good friend, James “Big Cat” Patterson for a day on the big muddy. As usual, Zona was wound up tighter than an eight day clock. Maybe it was because he had 3 Red Bull power drinks for breakfast before he got in the boat. Conditions had been tough for the past few weeks, but with Big Cat’s help, we managed to catch 7 cats that weighed close to 150 pounds with the biggest weighing 46 pounds. The smallest weighed just 3 pounds and the guy who caught that only landed that one fish! I’m not gonna tell you who that was, but you can find out by watching Mark’s show that airs on ESPN in late January or early February on a Saturday morning. Check ESPN show guides for the exact date. |
