Post Your CatchSubmitted: January 12th, 2010 by Doug DeFranco This ole Wiper was 27inches nose to tail-tip, weighed in after 4 hours of catch at 10 lbs and sported a 20 INCH GIRTH and was caught in La Cygne lake Ks. When I set the hook and felt it dive I knew I had a Biggin but didn't know it would be my biggest fresh water Bass. Used a 3/4 oz Bill Lewis Rattle Trap(blue-chrome-orange belly)Fireline 15lbs test on a MH ole fiberglass pole with a Bass Pro Tourney Baitcaster. In about 14'tea stained water with a wnw 15mph chop. We casted into the sun at about 11am on 12-28-2009 and three of us hit a huge school of these babies on a North East point. We landed 50 wipers at this point, and for the excursion about 30 Large mouth Biggest was about 23 inches and 110 give or take a few white bass some up to 15inches for the 9 hour day.We threw Traps assorted, rooster tails, top water and my favorite for large mouth(23") was on a Fat Free Bomber 5A Chartrueese 7' crankbait. The trick was lettin the trap sink to the bottom rip it for about 6ft and slack it repeat and wham, they would be chassin it and when you slacked it they said aahhhh!
