Popular Dog Days event returns to Bass Pro Shops in March

Free seminars and activities for pets and families March 4-5 and 11-12

The popular Dog Days family event, which includes free seminars and activities for pets and owners, great sales for man's best friend, and giveaways and drawings returns to Bass Pro Shops stores in March. Furry friends, from lap dogs to hunting dogs, are invited to visit participating Bass Pro Shops stores across the U.S. during the 2016 Dog Days event, held March 4 and 5 and March 11 and 12.

Bass Pro Shops Dog Days provides all dog owners, whether they have a Pomeranian or a pointer, a chance to win great prizes, take a free family photo with their pet, attend free seminars, and shop exclusive sales on all the latest pet gear.
Store activities include health and wellness checks by local veterinarians, micro chipping*, grooming demos, training seminars, giveaways, and more. Activities will vary per store. Owners and pets attending have the chance to win prizes including a GoPro® HERO4 Silver Camera plus a Fetch (dog harness) mount, a PetSafe® Drinkwell® Fountain, and a Petmate® Dog bowl, adjustable collar and toy.

Dog Days Activities for Fridays, March 4 and 11:

• 6 p.m.
  • Free Seminar "Man's Best Friend" — History, Selecting the Right Breed, and Fun Facts. The first 20 customers and pets to attend the seminar will receive a free Nite Ize® clip.
• Free Grillerz dog treat with purchase (while supplies last).

Dog Days Activities for Saturdays, March 5 and 12:

• 11 a.m.
  • Free Seminar: "Dog Basics" — Safety, Care, Hearing, and Smelling. The first 100 dogs to attend the event will receive a free doggie gift bag including a Fetch Ball and Doggie Food Scoop with bag clip. Plus, K9 Advantix II samples will be distributed according to your dog's weight. (Sizes limited, while supplies last.)
• 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Receive a FREE 4X6 photo and certificate showcasing dog's paw print. Photos can be shared at #bassprodogdays
  • Free Grillerz dog treat with purchase (while supplies last).
• 2 p.m.
  • Free Seminar: "Fun with Dogs in the Outdoors" –Working dogs, Camping and Hiking With your Dog.

Due to city ordinances in Columbia, Missouri, Dania Beach, Florida, San Jose, California, Manteca, California, Mesa, Arizona, and Spanish Fort, Alabama, dogs are not allowed in stores. The Dog Days event will be held outside the stores in those locations.

Pets visiting participating Bass Pro Shops stores need to be up-to-date on all vaccines, pet and child-friendly, and on a close leash at all times. Pet owners are responsible for their dog's behavior.
